Meet Robbie Oram, the culinary maestro behind the exquisite dining experiences at Frontier Experience. For the past three years, Robbie has been an indispensable member of our team, infusing every dish with his passion for culinary innovation and dedication to excellence.

Hailing from the rugged landscapes of Newfoundland and Labrador, Canada, Robbie's culinary journey began amidst a rich tapestry of traditions that instilled in him a deep-seated love for food. From mastering the art of preserving seafood and game meats to crafting bread from scratch and foraging for ingredients, Robbie's upbringing laid the foundation for his illustrious career in the culinary world.

After venturing westward, Robbie honed his skills at the Southern Alberta Institute of Technology (SAIT) in Calgary, Alberta, where he immersed himself in the art of professional cooking. His culinary prowess caught the eye of esteemed establishments, leading to an internship at La Chaumiere, one of Calgary's most renowned fine dining restaurants.

Robbie's culinary journey took him across the globe, from the bustling streets of Beijing, China, where he cooked at the Canadian Embassy and consulted for restaurant groups ahead of the 2008 Beijing Olympics, to the prestigious kitchens of Sage Restaurant at the River Cree Resort and Casino in Edmonton, Alberta. It was here that Robbie ascended the ranks, from Sous Chef to his first Executive Chef position, and even had the honor of cooking at the illustrious James Beard House in New York City.

In recent years, Robbie's culinary talents have graced the tables of some of the world's most discerning palates, from Hollywood stars like Martin Short, Bill Hader, and Paul Rudd, to iconic musicians like the Tragically Hip. His adventures have taken him from the glitz and glamour of celebrity kitchens to the remote reaches of the Arctic Circle, where he served as the chef for a documentary film crew.

Three years ago, Robbie discovered Frontier Experience, and since then, he has become an integral part of our family, elevating our culinary offerings to new heights with his expertise and creativity. With Robbie at the helm, every meal becomes a symphony of flavors, a testament to his unwavering passion for the art of cooking.
